Fifteen minutes of stillness outdoors, which is rarer and harder than it sounds.

Ce qu’il vous faut

Rien du tout.

Comment faire

  1. Take a blanket outside on a day with broken cloud.
  2. Everyone lies on their back and stays quiet for one full minute.
  3. Take turns describing what a cloud looks like.
  4. The others have to find the same cloud before it changes.
  5. Notice which direction they are moving and guess the weather.

Pourquoi c’est bon pour eux

Lying still and looking up is one of the few genuinely restful things you can do outdoors with a child. Finding shapes in randomness is also an exercise in flexible thinking, and describing a cloud precisely enough for someone else to find it is demanding language work.
