Ridiculous, exhausting, and needs nothing but bedding you already own.

Ce qu’il vous faut

  • a pillowcase for each child

Comment faire

  1. Each child steps into a pillowcase and holds the top edge.
  2. Mark a start and a finish with cushions.
  3. Race in a straight line, jumping rather than shuffling.
  4. Run it three or four times so nobody loses only once.
  5. Try it backwards for the last round.

Pourquoi c’est bon pour eux

Two-footed jumping requires coordinated push-off and landing, which is harder than it looks and useful for balance. Losing a silly race is also a low-stakes way to practise losing at all.

Adapter selon l’âge

4 to 5 yearsNo racing. Just jumping the length of the hall and back.
9 to 12 yearsAdd an obstacle to jump around halfway.

Sécurité

Soft flooring, no hard corners, and no racing near stairs.

Astuce rangement

Pillowcases go straight in the wash basket.
