A big box, some tape, and no instructions whatsoever.

Build It and Knock It Down
The building is fine. The knocking down is the whole point.
Stack anything you have into the tallest tower it will make, then let them demolish it. Repeat until they lose interest.

- Gather anything stackable: blocks, plastic cups, board books, empty food boxes.
- Build a tower together, naming each piece as it goes on.
- Count to three out loud, then let them knock it over.
- Rebuild. The repetition is the learning, not a failure of imagination.
- Try a challenge: can we get to ten pieces before it falls?
