A safe indoor throwing game that costs nothing and works in a small flat.

Ce qu’il vous faut

  • rolled up socks
  • laundry basket or box

Comment faire

  1. Roll six to ten pairs of socks into balls.
  2. Put a laundry basket on the floor a few steps away.
  3. Mark a throwing line with a cushion or a strip of tape.
  4. Take ten shots each and count the ones that go in.
  5. Move the basket further away each round.

Pourquoi c’est bon pour eux

Throwing at a target trains hand-eye coordination and distance judgement, and the counting between rounds slips in early addition. Because socks are soft, this is one of the very few throwing games that is genuinely safe indoors.

Adapter selon l’âge

2 to 3 yearsStand very close and use a large box. Success matters more than challenge.
8 to 12 yearsAdd scoring zones at different distances and keep a running total.

Sécurité

Clear the throwing line of anything breakable.

Astuce rangement

The socks are already in the laundry basket, which was the point.
